Unlocking the Inner Honor Code of Men: Find the Treasure in the Secret World Between His Ears

Tim Austin, author of Permission to be Tough, addresses another important social concern: communication skills and relationships and the conflict resolution tools to do so!

The cry of the American woman goes largely unheard. Our culture is in the era of the Lonely Woman.
"All I want is for my husband to notice me."
"I wish he understood my heart."
"Why can't he care about our relationship as much as I do?"
"I wish I felt known."
"I just want him to want me."
"I try to win his heart, mind, and soul...but nothing seems to work."

Humans crave these things. Women crave them; contrary to many women, men also crave them. So why do we keep missing each other? We're like two ships that pass in the night. Where is the disconnection?

These things aren't secret because men try to keep them from the women we love. They are secret simply because we rarely talk about them, not even to other men.

The truth is that these secret rules can be a woman's worst enemy. They can also be her best friend-if she understands their use and how to use them. That's what this book is about. It's about understanding how a man already thinks and then using what you've learned to create a stronger relationship and greater intimacy than you've ever imagined.
In short, this book reveals how many respectful men think, how we process the world and why we react the way we do. If you've been frustrated by a man's seeming unwillingness to respond to you, this book holds the keys to unlocking his heart and soul. There is hope. There are answers.

In Part I, Austin encourages readers to consider how men think and explore-from a man's perspective-the concepts that make up the grid through which he sees and responds to the world.

In Part II, he asks readers to consider how to use the information gleaned from Part I to entice their man to change, which will inevitably improve the quality of their relationship.
