Lucy Calvert came to Dew Drop to find a way to begin again-falling from the top of the barn into her gorgeous neighbor's arms is not where she expected to be. Or wanted to be or needed to be...at least she didn't think so. But her broken, burned heart went on a rampage for a few seconds before she slammed a lock on it and hauled herself out of his strong...comforting arms and raced toward her house. She has secrets she's trying to live with and no place in her life to expose them to anyone...especially this unexpected cowboy.  

Rowdy McDermott had a plan-stay on the straight and narrow, help the foster boys on Sunrise Ranch and forget about love. The last thing he expects after his pretty new neighbor falls into his arms, locks gazes with his and his pulse kicks up like a stampede of wild horses. He's so drawn to her but doesn't need to be...not now, anyway.

Lucy is glad Rowdy broke her fall, but she isn't ready for the feelings he stirred instantly in her heart. She's heard rumors about his past, and is steering clear of the kind of man he used to be. However, he and the boys from his ranch next door come to help tear out walls in her old home and while doing it, some of the walls she's built around her heart and soul begin to chip away.

With a little help from the foster boys, can Rowdy show Lucy that a man can change? Will he want to show her this when she reveals how deep her scars are...
