Tomanji and the Cart That Wouldn't Quit

Everyone told Tomanji to get a new cart. His old one had other ideas.

Tomanji has a creaky, patched, well-loved old cart that hauls his acorns faithfully every autumn. It isn't shiny. It isn't new. But it works! Still, his friends keep telling him: that shabby old thing is on its last legs - you simply MUST get a new one!

But Tomanji has a clever thought: it still works, and if it ever DID break, he could replace it in a heartbeat - so why waste his acorns now? So he keeps it, and mends it, and rolls right along... year after year after year, while the whole wood keeps predicting its end. And all the acorns he never spent? They pile up into a fortune! A warm, funny story about keeping what works, ignoring the upgrade pressure, and not wasting a thing.
