The Same Moon

One moon. Two windows. A whole ocean in between.

Ria lives here. Grandma lives there. In between is a great big ocean. When Ria misses Grandma's songs and Grandma misses Ria's giggles, Grandma has an idea: look up. We have the same moon.

So every night, Ria picks one small treasure from her day, a seashell, a wobbly tooth, a drawing of a cat with five legs, and holds it up to the window. "Moon, moon, carry this to Grandma." And when Grandma looks up on the other side of the world, there it is.

But what happens on a night when clouds hide the moon?

The Same Moon is a gentle bedtime story about staying close to the people we love, even when they're far away. Each spread shows Ria's night and Grandma's day side by side, until the two worlds finally meet.
