THE MAGIC PENDANT (An illustrated bilingual tale for children)

The ogrozules, half-beast half-humans, live on the small island of Ucotam. When human beings arrive, their noise and activities disrupt the ability of the ogrozules to fish, and a war between the two species breaks out. To bring back peace, a magic pendant must be found and brought to the island. The facelas, tiny night fairies who live in a dark cave near a volcano on Easter Island, know where this magical jewel is hidden. The facelas talk only to children. Six kids embark on a mission to Easter Island, in order to meet with the enchanted fairies and rescue the magic pendant. If they can find it, the Rapa Nui chief must authorize its removal from the island. The sea between the two islands is not always calm. Will they be able to do it before the ceasefire ends and the battle between humans and ogrozules breaks out again?

EL PÉNDULO MÁGICO (Un cuento ilustrado y bilingüe para niños)

Los ogrozules, mitad bestia mitad humanos, viven en la pequeña isla de Ucotam. Cuando los seres humanos llegan a Ucotam, sus ruidos y actividades alteran la habilidad de pescar de los ogrozules, y una guerra estalla entre las dos especies. Para lograr la paz, es necesario encontrar y traer a la isla un péndulo mágico. Las facelas, haditas nocturnas que viven en una cueva oscura cerca de un volcán en la Isla de Pascua, saben dónde se encuentra esta extraordinaria joya. Las facelas solo hablan con los niños. Seis chicos se embarcan hacia la Isla de Pascua en una misión para rescatar el péndulo mágico. Si logran encontrarlo, el jefe Rapa Nui debe darles permiso para sacarlo de la isla. El mar entre ambas islas no es siempre tranquilo. ¿Podrán hacerlo antes de que la tregua termine y la batalla entre humanos y ogrozules estalle nuevamente?
