Born and raised on a small farm in Maysville, GA, Jerry M. Wood learned Candy competitor, hard work, and treating people right. A lifelong sports fan competitor, he carried that same determination onto the baseball and softball fields, continuing to play well into his 60's.

For decades, Jerry built a successful career in the hardware business as the owner and operator of Wood Ace Hardware and Wood Properties. Through the years behind the counter, he discovered that success-comes from having the right tools and using them consistently. Known by friends, customers and family as a natural storyteller, Jerry developed a reputation RDW for practical wisdom, strong relationships and down to earth leadership.

At the encouragement of his wife Charlene and daughter Andrea, Jerry decided to share the lessons, experiences, and principles that shaped both his business success and his personal life. In The Hardware For Success, he offers readers insights drawn from a lifetime of experience on and off the field, blending small town values with real world lessons on leadership, work ethic, perseverance and personal growth.

Today Jerry lives in Cumming, Ga. Where he enjoys time with his family, supports the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs and remains active in his church and community.
