The Echoes of Black Ridge

When a forgotten map fragment falls from an old geology book, Scott Hale's quiet desert life shatters. The symbol on the vellum - a spiral cut by a single slash - is something he's seen before. Something he was warned never to follow.

But the map points to Black Ridge, a mesa with no roads, no trails, and no reason to exist - except for the doorway carved into its stone. A doorway that shouldn't be there.

When Scott crosses its threshold, the desert changes. Time fractures. Voices echo from places they shouldn't. And the world he knows slips away, replaced by a harsher, older Arizona - one where the O'odham still whisper about the Old Ones and the chambers beneath the mesas where the stone remembers every voice it has ever heard.

With only his dog Rory and a haunted 17th‑century friar as allies, Scott must uncover the truth behind the symbol that has followed him across centuries. Because something in the stone knows his name.

And it's calling him deeper.

A Desert Mystery of Time and Stone, The Echoes of Black Ridge launches Chambers of the Old Ones, a supernatural desert thriller series where ancient symbols, fractured time, and forgotten chambers converge beneath the Arizona sun.
