The Dead Man's Phone

Daniel Moyo wakes at 2:13 a.m. to the terrifying scream of a woman and discovers a dead man lying beneath his hotel bed. His hands are covered in blood, yet he has no memory of how he got there or how the victim died.

The mystery becomes even more disturbing when Daniel's phone begins receiving messages from an unknown sender. Then he discovers a second phone hidden in his apartment: the phone of Gabriel Vale, a businessman who supposedly disappeared and died three years earlier.

It was an attempt to reconstruct identity to create people who could carry the memories and identities of others. Daniel himself is connected to the experiment in ways he could never have imagined.

As the secrets of his childhood unravel, Daniel is forced to confront another version of himself, his long-lost brother, and the man behind the experiment. At the heart of it all is one terrifying question:

If your memories can be changed, your identity can be created, and your past can be rewritten then who are you really?

When Daniel finally faces the people responsible for Orpheus, he chooses free will over becoming someone else's creation. But the destruction of the laboratory does not end the mystery.
