Secondbourne

A forgotten land. A dark prophecy. A deadly seduction.

Shailen, an elite guard of Sanctuary, returns home from a brutal border dispute only to find his life shattered. His betrothed has given birth early, his furious brother-in-law wants him dead because of his tainted half-drow heritage, and his missing mother has finally returned after seven years-but she is no longer entirely alive.

She mutates into a Seer before his eyes and utters a terrifying prophecy involving Shailen's long-lost father, Kellen. Forced into a dangerous mission by the Brotherhood of Mages, Shailen quickly learns that his mixed heritage is the least of his worries when he becomes trapped in a web of dark magics. Seduced by a wicked enemy princess, he must rely on an uneasy alliance he has forged with a mutated Ravener.

Together, with Sasheer, Dalzere and Criz, he must confront an insidious power older and more dangerous than any threat Sennovia has ever faced before. Will he uncover the hidden truth behind his family's dangerous past, or will the darkness of the prophecy consume them all?

If you love high-stakes epic fantasy with a dark, sensual twist, morally grey characters and dangerous attractions, then dive into the second installment of TS Clayton's gripping Sennovia Universe. Perfect for fans of the classic world-building and adventurous magic of David Eddings and Terry Brooks, mixed with the sensuality and darkness of Mercedes Lackey and Storm Constantine.
