Sagas of Light and Darkness

Only once in all their existence did the Light and the Darkness desire the same thing.

Together they gave life to Velántia, a fragile and beautiful world that neither of them could touch without consuming it. So they sent their children in their place: twelve Primigens, six begotten by the Light and six by the Darkness, who descended to walk among the creatures of the world.

With them descended a condition: the Divine Seal. As long as it remained intact, none of the twelve could raise their full might against their brethren.

Seven hundred years after the Awakening, the Seal still holds. But it is not eternal: every battle wears it down, and each time one of the twelve touches the world with their power, the veil grows thinner.

On the continent of Boreális, three lives are bound to that fate: the princes Dorian and Auron, and young Ithíniel, whom people call "Eyes of Stars." Amid kingdoms bleeding themselves dry, demigods who walk among mortals, and creatures awakening in the dark, every choice they make will bring Velántia one step closer to the abyss.

Until, one spring night, every living being in Velántia hears the same sound, sharp and clear as cracking glass. The children hear it, and the animals; those who sleep and those who keep vigil.

The Shattering is the first book of the Sagas of Light and Darkness, a dark, emotional, and mature epic fantasy. Within its pages you will find:
