Most canoes are built either using cedar strips, meticulously laid over hundreds of hours, or the more straightforward stitch and tape method using plywood panels. Mark Schultz wanted a hybrid of the two methods, a canoe that looked more like a cedar stripper, but with the simplicity of a plywood craft.
