Rainbowfire

Rainbowfire: Book One of the Prism Trilogy follows sisters Nadia and Evelyn as strange encounters with waterfalls, crystals, and corrupted animals reveal their hidden connection to the Fairie realm. After Nadia survives a rattlesnake bite and a near-fatal fall through mysterious rainbow magic, Evelyn is attacked on Florida's Monkey Island and falls into a supernatural coma. Desperate to save her, Nadia returns to Devils Punch Bowl, where a rainbow reveals a secret cave behind a waterfall.
Inside, Nadia receives a Clear crystal and discovers that the Fairie woman who saved her is her birth mother. She and Evelyn are children of both the human and Fairie worlds, hidden at birth from the Darluns-corrupted Fairies who imprison magical colors inside black crystals. Nadia's Clear gift allows her to recognize other hidden descendants and gather the scattered color bearers before the Darluns seize the crossings between realms.
Her quest leads across the human world to Jasper of Red, the courageous guardian; Shayla of Orange, whose joy defies fear; Viridian of Green, rooted in nature and endurance; Ilesh of Purple, keeper of memory and judgment; Azure of Blue, calm amid danger; Alyssa of Yellow, a healer; Evelyn of White, who unites the circle; and Sheldon of Brown, keeper of roads and safe passage. Each bearer must freely choose a crystal in a hidden waterfall cave, confront the parent who concealed their heritage, and accept a power reflecting the strength already within them.
Their enemy watches and adapts, corrupting animals, poisoning paths, and manipulating people. Evelyn's controlling partner, Brandon, is revealed as a servant of the darkness. He kidnaps Shayla and attacks the gathered bearers with a black crystal containing imprisoned fragments of every color. Nadia uses Clear not to overpower those colors, but to help them remember their true names. Together, the bearers shatter the crystal, rescue Shayla, save their wounded bear guardian, and reunite with Evelyn, whose White magic finally makes the circle whole.
The group then finds Sheldon and a herd of mustangs carrying an ancient bond to the Fairie realm. Brown opens a forgotten road, allowing the company and horses to cross between worlds while enemies pursue them. They arrive in a magnificent but wounded Fairie kingdom, reunite with their birth parents, and learn that the Darlun war has already reached its borders.
In Fairie City, the companions are formally named according to their gifts. Before they have time to train, a corrupted road threatens to lead refugees into a Darlun trap. Combining their powers for the first time-courage, joy, healing, life, calm, memory, harmony, passage, and truth-they restore the road and save the refugees. The city survives its first attack, but a masked enemy has learned the shape of the newly formed circle.
Framed by the bedtime stories of twins Tessa and Marie, who unknowingly hold crystals tied to the same destiny, Rainbowfire is a fantasy adventure about sisters, chosen family, hidden heritage, courage, healing, and the power of distinct gifts joined freely in harmony.
