PRISCUS

A new city. New friendships. Unexpected adventures. And a journey that will change a young Roman forever.

After his unforgettable experiences in Alexandria, young Priscus sets sail for Piraeus, the famous port of ancient Athens, alongside Nikos, an experienced Greek captain and trusted friend.

But the Mediterranean has other plans.

A violent storm forces their ship to seek refuge on the island of Rhodes, turning a familiar voyage into an unexpected adventure. And when Priscus finally reaches Piraeus, he discovers a world far more fascinating than he ever imagined.

Bustling markets, magnificent temples, skilled craftsmen, lively festivals, and merchant ships arriving from distant lands bring the ancient port to life. Alongside his new friend Achileos, Priscus becomes involved in the challenging world of ship repairs, maritime trade, and business negotiations, where every opportunity brings new lessons.

Yet the greatest discoveries are not always found in distant cities or profitable deals. Through friendship, unexpected challenges, difficult decisions, and moments of quiet reflection, Priscus begins to understand the true meaning of trust, responsibility, and personal growth.

PRISCUS: Discovering Piraeus is the third book in Steve Blackjudge's historical fiction series, bringing the everyday life, customs, commerce, and atmosphere of the ancient Mediterranean vividly to life.

An engaging historical adventure about friendship, discovery, and the courage to follow new horizons.
