Micah Jamison was a quiet man who asked for little from life. A gifted painter and devoted gardener, he lived contentedly on four peaceful acres just outside Allen, Texas-far enough from the city lights to still see the stars. His days were simple: creating art in his studio and tending the lush garden that had become his second home.

Then, on an ordinary cloudy afternoon, a single bolt of lightning changed everything.
