Orlando Innamorato, Di Matteo Maria Boiardo

Orlando Innamorato, written by Matteo Maria Boiardo, is a cornerstone of Italian Renaissance literature. This epic poem, presented here with meticulous fidelity to the Trivulziano Codex and early printings by Francesco Fòffano, revives the chivalric romance tradition with vibrant characters and fantastical adventures. Boiardo's masterpiece explores themes of love, honor, and heroism, weaving a rich tapestry of courtly life and magical encounters. This edition offers readers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and complexity of Boiardo's original work, preserving its historical and literary value for contemporary audiences. Its enduring appeal lies in its vivid storytelling and profound insights into the human condition during a transformative period in European history.
