God and Jesus' and her mom's. She knew trials were a part of life, but that didn't make them any easier to go through. Would she be able to bring her mom back to the Lord and back to her family?

Carol's parents were pretty cool. Though they could be strict at times, she still felt she had a great life--that is, until one night when it all fell apart. She had told no one about what happened, thinking that was the best way to deal with it to make sure that no one else got hurt. The only problem with keeping it to herself and burying it down deep inside was that the wounds, emotional and mental, started to fester and worsen. And then there was the ripple effect. How many others were adversely affected by one evil act? When it finally came to light, she had to find a way out of the darkness and to heal, and she had to learn to trust God and others to help her do it.
