Five friends, attending a reunion at the Christmas Mountain Resort, are looking forward to a relaxing, three-day weekend of laughing, drinking wine and making their annual Christmas wreaths.
Shortly after they arrive, the resort's co-owner, Betty Bottoms, is found murdered in her private residence. The Bottoms are in the throngs of a messy divorce and her husband has already moved on with a new fiancée, Pam, who happens to be a member of their reunion group. With Betty gone, the two lovebirds can move on without buying out her share of the resort which makes them the prime suspects in the murder.
