Ever notice what happens to the baseball after the final out of an inning?

Sometimes a player, coach, or umpire tosses the ball back toward the pitching mound. Sometimes it lands right on the mound. Sometimes it misses completely.

Most fans never give it a second thought.

Mound Ball turns that little moment into a game!

Mound Ball is a simple, funny game you can play from your seat while watching a baseball game. No cards, dice, boards, or equipment are needed. All you need is a baseball game, a few friends, and a willingness to have some fun.

HOW IT WORKS

Players take turns being the Bettor.

Before the baseball's final location is known, the Bettor makes one simple prediction:

ON - The baseball will end up on the pitching mound.

OFF - The baseball will end up anywhere other than the pitching mound.

Then everybody watches.

If the Bettor correctly predicts where the ball ends up, they win the round!

The winner gets to choose one of the Mound Ball bets or challenges for their opponent.

It might be a small 50¢, $1, $2, $3 or $5 money bet, or it could be one of the ridiculous Fun & Silly Bets.

You might have to sing out loud, cheer for a team that isn't even playing, wear your hat backwards, do your best umpire impression, tell a terrible joke, or perform a ridiculous victory dance.

That's where Mound Ball gets interesting.

WHAT IF NOBODY TOSSES THE BALL TO THE MOUND?

No problem.

If the ball is never tossed toward the mound after the half-inning, the round isn't cancelled.

It's carried over to the next half-inning.

The same Bettor keeps their ON or OFF prediction, and everyone waits for another opportunity.

PLAY IT YOUR WAY

Mound Ball can be played between two people or an entire group.

Keep score for the whole game. Play for bragging rights. Use only the silly challenges. Add small friendly money bets. Create your own challenges. Or make up house rules that become part of your baseball tradition.

There's really only one important rule:

Keep it friendly and keep it fun.

Mound Ball isn't about serious gambling. It's about noticing something you've probably seen hundreds of times at a baseball game and suddenly having a reason to watch it.
