Welcome to moonlit dreams.

A collection born of heartbreaks, self-discovery, and the navigation of growing older, moonlit dreams is a raw, vulnerable look into what it means to be in your twenties. Compiled into seven different chapters, readers will get a first-hand, vivid, and most importantly, achingly honest, glimpse into the author's life. Journey alongside the moon (as the author describes themselves) as it experiences unbearable breaking and desperate healing, all within the pages of this collection.

Chapter descriptions:

Chapter One: mirrored moons
Love, heartbreak, and reluctant understanding are the themes of this chapter. Poems detail a love story between two people who are best described as moons. Dark, and yet bright. Desperate, yet hopeful.

Chapter Two: a temporary relief
When the poisonous moon, still reeling from the loss of her counterpart, meets the gentle ocean. In the process, she learns that the people who change our lives the most are often in our lives for the shortest periods of time. It hurts, but it's necessary to grow.

Chapter Three: burst heart (an array of different heartbreaks)
This chapter really is about loss. Love, one's past, what could have been. A collection of things that hurt, in their own brutal ways.

Chapter Four: girlhood
Delving into the pain and bittersweetness of growing up, this chapter is very much a tribute to girlhood. Saying goodbye. What it felt like. Missing something you can never return to.

Chapter Five: braided hope and the golden gift
An ode to dear, precious friends. The kind who find you when you are lost. Who hold the world for you when you cannot hold it for yourself. A found family in a scary world.

Chapter Six: even the stars smiled as her heart blossomed
Full of hope and rediscovery, dreams finally feel possible again for the moon.

Chapter Seven: chasing the future
Bursting with a newfound hope, the final chapter of moonlit dreams is exactly what the name suggests: a chasing of the future. A future that feels exciting; full of possibilities. Of acceptance of oneself. A good future.
