Lost & Unhinged

Sutton Grey has built a life she loves: the Glitz & Glam Boutique in Cedar Hollow, a white two-story farmhouse, and evening rides through the trails on her sorrel mare, Lady. When her childhood best friend Rhett walks back into her life, it feels like finding something she thought she had lost.

Soon the tenderness turns, Rhett times her trips to town, checks her phone, and takes over the boutique's books. Friends grow quiet. She leaves the farmhouse and moves into his travel trailer-and the control becomes something she no longer can explain away.As winter comes in, she begins a quiet, dangerous plan to leave: cash hidden into a boot box, and a date she circles at the end of February.

One cold night in the trailer, the violence erupts-and a gunshot heard across the road drags the night, and the life Sutton has been protecting, into the open. What follows is a story of escape, and hard-won reckoning: a protective order, a week in hiding, and the long road back to the woman she used to be.

Lost & Unhinged is about love that turns into control-and about the courage it takes to reclaim a life, piece by piece, door by door, never looking back.
