When many of us are advised to hunker down in our apartments and homes, and restrict outside and social interaction trips, at this stage, things feel pretty "real." Apart from the general concern people may have about their physical wellbeing as they digest the news from all over the world and here at home, there's the bigger toll this takes on our collective mental wellbeing. Many organizations have put out recommendations to help mitigate the burden of the coronavirus pandemic, and for good reason: Social distancing is one of the key tools we have to fight the virus - a profoundly unhealthy activity for humans, but an important one.With millions of people in lockdown around the world owing to COVID-19, remaining well, physically and mentally is more critical than ever. If you're not used to being at home every day, it may seem overwhelming for many weeks to unexpectedly find yourself confined to your house - whether on your own or with family members or flat mates. But, with a bit of preparation, compassion and empathy, it's doable.
