FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot (Drone) Study Guide 2026-2027 is an independently authored preparation resource for the Federal Aviation Administration's Unmanned Aircraft General - Small (UAG) Knowledge Test. It follows FAA-S-ACS-10B, effective April 6, 2021, with a project source lock verified on August 14, 2026.

Twelve instructional chapters turn the published test blueprint into operational decision systems. The regulatory foundation covers Part 107 applicability, roles, registration, certification, knowledge recency, accident reporting, records, inspections, waivers, remote PIC authority, visual observers, control manipulation, visual line of sight, right-of-way, automation, impairment rules, and safe operating condition. Further chapters address operating limits, night flight, restricted locations, carriage of property, operations over people and moving vehicles, aircraft eligibility Categories 1 through 4, declarations and means of compliance, modifications, and Remote Identification paths.

Airspace and airport instruction covers Classes B, C, D, E, and G; authorization; NOTAMs and temporary flight restrictions; airport noninterference; CTAF, UNICOM, and ATIS; charts, traffic patterns, lighting, and radio awareness. Weather chapters teach briefing sources and interpretation of METARs and TAFs, then connect density altitude, wind, fronts, thunderstorms, microbursts, fog, icing, and visibility to mission decisions. Loading and performance instruction includes weight, arm, moment, center of gravity, endurance data, payload changes, and environmental effects. The closing chapters integrate emergencies, lost link, GPS degradation, lithium-battery hazards, decision-making, Crew Resource Management, pilot fitness, maintenance, inspection, records, and mission readiness.

Each chapter identifies official objectives and source pinpoints, then reinforces the material with decision rules, worked scenarios, exam tips, key concepts, and bounded mnemonics. A consolidated mnemonics review asks readers to decode the governing rule behind each memory aid. The Exam Quick Reference gathers the UAG identity and format, published domain-weight ranges, applicant pathway, essential operating numbers, crew responsibilities, airspace and Remote ID decision gates, weather sequences, loading formulas, and emergency priorities.

The practice section contains 120 original multiple-choice questions followed by complete answer explanations. Every explanation states the correct response and gives a specific rationale for each A-D option, supporting review of sound reasoning and plausible errors. The published UAG format is 60 independent multiple-choice questions with up to two hours allowed and a passing score of 70 percent or better. The practice bank can therefore be used for timed work and remediation by topic.

Additional resources include evidence-based guidance on retrieval practice, distributed and mixed practice, timed simulation, error logging, and exam-day readiness; eight-week, four-week, and seven-day study schedules; a glossary; official-source references; and a subject index.
