Multitouchgeräte sind visuell interaktive Eingabesysteme, die über einen Touch-screen mehrere Berührungen von Fingern gleichzeitig registrieren und verarbeiten können. In dieser Arbeit wird der Aufbau eines solchen Systems mitsamt seiner enthaltenen Komponenten detailliert beschrieben. Geeignete Compliant Layer und dazugehörige Trennschichten oder Trennmittel sowie Foliensysteme für das verwendete Prinzip der Frustrated Total Internal Reflection (FTIR) werden untersucht. Ebenfalls wird die Problematik geeigneter Infrarotfilter erörtert. Das System wird gezielt für das Anwendungsszenario benutzerfreundlicher, subjektiver Qualitätsbewertungstests entwickelt. Ferner werden vorhandene Softwareschnittstellen mit Multitouch-Fähigkeiten untersucht, Anforderungen an die Softwaregestaltung für subjektive Qualtitätsbewertungsmethoden aufgezeigt und Anregungen für die Umsetzung gegeben.
