El Salvador

THE COLD WAR HAS FOUND A NEW BATTLEFIELD.

CENTRAL AMERICA, 1985. Deep in the jungles of El Salvador and Nicaragua, a war is being fought that does not exist- officially.

Marine Recon's Alpha Team has been sent into the shadows-tracking weapons routes, hunting guerrilla strongholds, training allied forces, and carrying out missions Washington can never acknowledge. For the men on the ground, politics mean little.

Survival means everything.

Among them is Jay Quin, a young Recon Marine learning the brutal difference between being a warrior and becoming a leader. Under the hardened mentorship of Staff Sergeant Thaddeus MacGrill, Quin is being prepared for something he isn't sure he's ready to inherit: command of Alpha Team.

Then the mission changes.

What begins as reconnaissance exposes something far more dangerous beneath the jungle canopy: Soviet operatives bolstering a network of guerrillas and drug traffickers, and compromised intelligence that reaches closer to home than anyone could have predicted.

When CIA operative Cunningham uncovers the truth and disappears behind enemy lines, Alpha Team is sent after him. But in a war built on secrets, knowing who the enemy is may be more dangerous than facing him.

Surrounded, outnumbered, and operating where rescue may never come, Quin and the Marines of Alpha Team will discover how far they're willing to go for the men beside them, and what they're willing to sacrifice to bring them home.

Because some wars are fought for nations.

Others are fought for the man standing next to you.

Black Diamonds: El Salvador is a story of covert warfare, brotherhood, betrayal, and the crucible that begins transforming Jay Quin from a young Recon Marine into the leader he was destined to become.
