Logan Osbourne, a young college professor and secret cryptozoologist, is searching for answers to some bizarre activities in his former hometown on the eastern end of Long Island. 17 years earlier, Logan's father was snatched from a fishing boat where they were researching marine life by a creature, never to be seen again.
