Christmas Matters, Too

During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, Allan B. Thames enjoys writing Facebook posts for his home page. He tries to write something a little bit encouraging or thoughtful every day. Christmas Matters, Too (a nice follow-up to his first Christmas collection, Christmas Matters), is a collection of those contributions. This book includes the ones from Christmas 2023, and Thanksgiving/Christmas 2024.

Christmas Matters, Too takes you on a 'Search for Christmas' where you will get lost and wander in the dark during a very cold nighttime 5K run. You will ride the Villa Rica Gold Rush Museum Christmas Train with the frost icing your cheeks and you will go in "Search of Christmas" to Athens, Georgia with Allan's 'radiantly beautiful' wife, Celia. You will even hear a very special "Mewwy Cwistmas" greeting from an unlikely source!

Christmas Matters, Too wanders through Thanksgiving 2023 where a main theme comes from the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "...in all things give thanks...". Allan gives thanks through the season for his dad's old truck, the "Church in the Valley by the Wildwood" where he was baptized, and his mom's 'Golden Locket'. He even gives thanks for "harsh troubles, sometimes constant pains and long, weary nights".
