Dante is the most feared linebacker in the interscholastic league. A pure wall of muscle, aggression, and talent on the field, he hides a heavy truth beneath his armor: he is gay. In his world, the stakes are simply too high, making it a secret guarded solely by his best friend.

Across the field stands Nicolas, the star quarterback of their fiercest rival school. Wealthy, arrogant, and dating the most popular girl around, Nicolas embodies every cliché Dante despises. Yet, unfortunately, he is also the only person who makes Dante's blood ignite-blurring the lines between visceral rage and a far more dangerous attraction.

As the hostility between their schools reaches a toxic boiling point, the two are forced to coexist beyond the sidelines. What starts as a ruthless war of pranks, insults, and physical tension rapidly spirals into an intense mental game. Soon, the boundary between wanting to throw a punch and wanting to pull the other close becomes terrifyingly thin.

They were meant to tear each other apart. But what if total destruction is the only way for them to truly collide?

Warning: This is a dark romance with touches of biting comedy. It contains strong language, scenes of bullying, internalized and external homophobia (which is deconstructed throughout the narrative), and mature content.
