In late 1990, Matt Denham discovered wrestling.
Not the British wrestling he vaguely remembered from Saturday afternoon television. This was American wrestling. Bigger, louder, and packed with the larger-than-life superstars of the World Wrestling Federation.
It wasn't long before the obsession took hold. And when he discovered there was a toy line to match, he was all in.
Now step inside the mind of a child booker as Matt takes you behind the scenes of his very own wrestling figure federation.
In Beyond the Plastic:
- Every match from every show is covered, complete with star ratings
- Every talent acquisition (figure purchase) is explored, from the creative decisions to the financial outlay behind each deal
- Storylines that never materialised, signings that fell through, and feuds that failed to draw are all laid bare
- All your favourite superstars appear in four-and-a-half-inch form, including Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior and "Macho Man" Randy Savage
Join Matt on a nostalgic journey through collecting and booking one of the most iconic wrestling action figure lines of all time: WWF Hasbros.
