Always with the Party

Soong Ching-ling was one of the most celebrated women of the 20th century-a great fighter for patriotism, democracy, internationalism, and communism; a distinguished international activist; and a steadfast pioneer in the cause of world peace. She was also an outstanding member of the Chinese Communist Party. Her lifelong commitment to the nation, the people, and the cause of human progress earned her the title of the "Gem of the Nation."
