Our main assumption is that Algeria, a country that was one of the leaders of the Third-World during the Cold War and a partner of the West during the global war on terror, had to adapt to the new international order of the twenty-first century, by imagining a new role for Algeria on the international arena, in continuity with the principles of its revolutionary history, a country that tries to shape the future of the international system by defending a reformist multilateral scheme and with an ambition of remaining one of the "voices of the Global South", to be reckoned with by the main actors of the world order.
