Aftermath

A hurricane is coming. Anna Beth's mother has disappeared. And the only clues she left behind point to something that was never meant to be found.

When Anna Beth arrives to take her mother inland before Hurricane Katrina, she finds an overturned chair, a broken coffee cup, and a half-packed suitcase. June is gone. Her car is still there. So is her purse.

But the folder of charity records she planned to take to the sheriff has disappeared with her.

As Katrina closes in on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Anna Beth begins uncovering troubling questions about the home-repair charity where June kept the books. Duplicate payments. Repairs that may never have been completed. And signatures that could implicate someone Anna Beth trusts.

With time running out and the storm threatening to erase what little evidence remains, Anna Beth must discover what happened to her mother before the truth disappears with her.

Aftermath is Book 1 of the Weathering the Storm series, a Christian suspense novel about faith under pressure, family, accountability, and the cost of doing what is right.
