Where Hearts Find Home
Book One of the Across Oceans and Time Series
I'll be honest, I never planned on writing a book. I just had a story that wouldn't leave my mind. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to put it on paper and see where it would go. Before I knew it, one story turned into another, and the Bennett family became a part of my life.
This first book introduces Staff Sergeant Elijah Bennett, a U.S. Army Soldier whose life changes during an assignment in the Philippines. While serving his country, he meets Quinn Elise, a young teacher who wasn't looking for love any more than he was. Their friendship grows one day at a time and slowly turns into something neither of them expected.
Life isn't always easy for them. Military service, distance, family, different cultures, and life's unexpected challenges all stand in their way. Like many of us, they learn that love isn't about having a perfect life. It's about standing beside the people you care about when life gets hard.
There is another reason this story means so much to me. Quinn Elise isn't just the name of a character. She's named after my daughter. Every time I sat down to write, seeing her name on those pages reminded me of what really matters-faith, family, love, and making the most of the time we're given together.
I hope when you read this book, you don't just follow Elijah and Quinn Elise's story. I hope you feel like you're getting to know them. I hope they make you laugh, make you smile, and maybe even remind you of people you've loved in your own life.
Thank you for taking a chance on my first novel. Whether you read one book or stay with the Bennett family through every adventure, I'm truly grateful you picked up this story.
Welcome to the Bennett family.
