"e;The major events, which in the days of the two Sheikhs were dangerous in themselves, dazzle those who hear their news or read them, so they do not need to be narrated a lot by those who abound, nor for narrators to surround them with the exaggeration and extravagance they surrounded them with; the return of the Arabs to Islam after they had denied it, and the expulsion of the Romans. From the Levant, the Peninsula, Egypt, and Cyrenaica, and the expulsion of the Persians from Iraq and the elimination of their authority in their countries; all of these are unjustifiable events There is no doubt about it, nor about its occurrence in this short era during the caliphate of the two sheikhs, and these are events that describe themselves and indicate their seriousness, and do not need exaggeration in describing them, because they are beyond all exaggeration."e; Taha Hussein Through this series, we bring to mind the creative and historical works and critical studies of the Dean of Arabic Literature - Dr. Taha Hussein, which made its author a model that we look at with pride and draw inspiration from his experience. We are in dire need for the new generations to read these works, which are presented by the Egyptian Lebanese Publishing House, with a comprehensive translation of them, explanations of some terms, and an introduction to the notables and places mentioned in them, at the hands of an elite group of professors. Each in his field.
