To the Lighthouse

A summer house on the Isle of Skye, a postponed trip to a lighthouse overshadowed by the looming war: in what is arguably her most personal novel, which the author herself considered her best work, Virginia Woolf draws us into the streams of consciousness of the Ramsay family and their guests.
