Sultan al-Ghuri was the king of Egypt and its surrounding regions in the ninth century AH. Al-Ghuri, like the Mamluk sultans before him, held leadership among Muslim kings, due to their responsibility to serve the Two Holy Mosques. This book traces the life of Sultan al-Ghuri from his early days until he assumed the sultanate, his great heroism, and the battles he fought.
