This book aims to address the sensitive and controversial topic of sex education. It attempts to define the correct concept of sex education for the reader, exploring when and how it should begin, shedding light on society's stance towards it, examining the dangers of its absence, the extent to which it can be presented in the media, and how to address some of the sexual deviations resulting from its risks. The book also presents a study conducted on a sample of young Egyptians in private and public universities regarding the role of some Arab satellite channels' programs in the sex education of adolescent university students. It explores whether these students are for or against addressing sex education in the media, whether young people have misconceptions about it, and whether the media plays a role in providing young people with accurate information about sex. This is especially relevant given that we were raised in societies that consider sex shameful and forbidden. If this were truly the case, Muslims would not have approached the Prophet Muhammad to discuss this matter, and God would not have endowed humankind with sexual organs. After the Prophet's death, Muslims found no one qualified to discuss this issue with and continued to refuse to talk about it until it reached the point of prohibition. Sex became a taboo subject, untouchable. What we would like to point out in this book is that talking about sex is neither forbidden nor shameful, but it is necessary to take into account the ethical and religious controls and standards and the age stages of the recipient so that sexual information is presented in a decent and modest manner, and in a way that ensures the safety and protection of the person at each stage of his different life stages. What a child in the first six years of his life needs in terms of sexual information is completely different from what a teenager needs in terms of information, which is different from what those about to get married need in terms of information. The media can play the appropriate awareness role for this while adhering to the aforementioned controls.
