Reflections on the Guillotine

According to the "e;deterrence theory,"e; we are all latent killers, and the death penalty is inevitable. It not only kills the killer, but also kills the idea of ??killing in others. Some murders occurred suddenly due to a tense situation, and their perpetrators never expected that they might one day kill. For example, no one can retain the sight of a severed head dripping with blood in their memory for the rest of their lives, especially after executions retreated from public squares to secret prison yards, even though one of the conditions for the effectiveness of the "e;deterrent example"e; of the death penalty is that it be public!
