Levantine Journey

This book includes a collection of observations and trips made by the author to the countries of Syria, Palestine, and Iraq. The author says in his introduction to his travels: A Muslim who loves Muslims and aspires to their country is not in need of setting out on his journey to Baghdad, the city of peace, and Damascus, the capital of the Levant, so that he is not deprived of seeing two magnificent cities. They were the largest capitals of Islam and the greatest civilization, not to mention them during the eras of the Umayyad and Abbasid states, and especially during the era of Al-Ma'mun. The era of Eastern civilization and light, when this Baghdad was the destination of Arab travel and the source of rays of wisdom and literature. Whenever I heard people praising the weather of this country, and the beauty of the landscape, the freshness of the spot, and the splendor of nature, God had given it, in addition to the vastness of its area, the fertility of its soil, the sweetness of its waters, and the lushness of its gardens; My longing for it increases, and my determination to go to it is confirmed... And what I heard from more than one person is that some sects in those areas choose horses well, and are good at riding them with the most perfect types of equestrianism and the most perfect characteristics, and the most specific of them in this sense and the most famous for it are the Knights of Danadasha and the Heroes of Akakrah.
