He continues to negotiate with him until he concludes a covenant between them. Satan becomes a slave to Faust, allowing him everything he wants and giving him all the pleasures of life he desires...but do the events stop there?!It is strange that you find Goethe to be the truest representative of Dr. Faust's weakness and strength, and of Margaret's weakness and strength, just as you find him to be the truest representative of Satan's rebellion and pride. What strangeness is this? Isn't it Goethe who created Faust, Margaret, and Satan?
