Carol is a hunting on her farm when she is attacked by a huge alien wolf creature. The alien wolf came through a dimensional rift created by the supercollider facility near Carol's home. Carol shoots the wolf repeatedly without killing it, but when it mauls her it is killed by her silver watch. Carol is transformed from the creature's bites. By day she remains human and by night she becomes a huge alien wolf that normal weapons can't kill, but silver can. She becomes hunted by the scientists and soldiers from the supercollider facility that want her to become their lab rat. In the process Carol makes both friends and enemies forced to kill repeatedly to survive. In the process she finds her own new pack.
